SPITFIRE™ – The Self-Paced Interactive Training Simulator includes a robust simulation environment, high-fidelity simulation models, and interactive graphics wrapped together in an easy-to-use Student-Machine Interface, allowing the student to use the simulator to train at his own pace.
Interactive graphics are designed to be intuitive and include dynamic interactive Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), Panel Graphics, and Unit Graphics.
While SPITFIRE™ is a powerful self-paced tool, it also supports networked simulation station training. Since the backbone of the simulation environment is CHATTANOOGA™, the same simulation environment that is used for full-scope nuclear power plant control room training simulators, it easily handles networked Student Stations as well as Instructor Stations.
Instructor Stations are provided with a comprehensive Instructor Interface that provides control of Simulator Interventions (Malfunctions, Remote Operations, Environmental Conditions, and Hardware Failures), Initial Condition Functions, Trainee Monitoring Functions, Scenario Development Tools, Replay Controls, and Simulation Monitoring and Trending Functions.
SPITFIRE™ installations include actual Operating Procedures for student reference and to check operational procedure compliance. Exams are integrated and provide a means to test the student’s mastery of subject material. Easily accessible component documents and video gives a multi-media presentation of important learning material.
Designed to mask the complexity of an advanced real-time training simulator, SPITFIRE™ includes an installation program that requires minimal computer knowledge, allowing the student to quickly perform the installation on his own computer.
